Sometimes I felt as if I were turning beet red (I knew the kitchen was an overly sexualized environment, but this book really made that evident.) It's an expose into the gritty and dirty side of food and restaurants. Reading "Kitchen Confidential" is riveting and raunchy. It always felt like Bourdain was more about the food than about the fame. ![]() He had an appreciation for food as a whole that I respect. ![]() With his shows, Bourdain took viewers on an exploration of food, sharing about why we should appreciate the menial, the unloved, the lowly ingredients. I have had great respect for this man and his love of culture and food. I have seen this book for years on the library shelves, but sadly, it took me until Anthony Bourdain's passing to actually pick it up. ![]()
